About

TiCCA4DANU drives systemic, transformative change for climate change adaptation (CCA) in the Danube Macro-Region.

Our innovative approach applies Transformative Innovation Policy (TIP) to the city-region level, linking it with Local Green Deals and enabling new business models, investment tools, and inclusive processes. With strong participation from public authorities, vulnerable groups, and the private sector, the project aims to overcome structural barriers and promote climate-just resilience.

Working with city-regions, we are developing practical tools, training, and governance models that accelerate real change. Rooted in transdisciplinary collaboration, and aligned with EU missions, the project scales through partnerships with the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR) and involves neighbouring countries like Ukraine and Türkiye.

By 2028, our toolkit will empower cities and regions to implement just and effective CCA strategies, co-designed with local stakeholders.

Our ambition: to shape between June 2025 – May 2028 a climate-resilient future by transforming how cities and regions adapt — together.
