We provide this information not only to comply with the obligations, established by EU Regulation 2016/679 and in general by current legislation, but also because we believe that data protection is a fundamental prerequisite for our business and therefore we want to reassure our visitors about the security of personal data provided through the site.

As project coordinator, VDI/VDE Innovation + Technik GmbH, with its registered office at Steinplatz 1, 10623 Berlin, as the “Beneficiary” of the European Project TiCCA4DANU (Grant Agreement No. 101214311), is responsible for the content and editorial design of the website (Content Owner).

3) Type of data processed

Statistical data will be collected through this site in accordance with the provisions under Section 7) and our Cookie Policy.This processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interests).

Additionally, we will process your personal data (only your email address) collected through the website once you register for the newsletter solely for the purpose of sending you electronically newsletters about information on the website and in the area covered by the project. We collect and process your email address for the purpose of sending newsletters only based on your explicit, informed, and voluntary consent pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. By subscribing, you actively opt-in and are clearly informed about the nature and content of the newsletter communications you will receive.

4) Purpose of treatment

The data will be processed by Web Artisans (Data Controller) through our servers and infrastructure and VDI/VDE Innovation + Technik GmbH (Content Owner) in accordance with the legislation on data protection as well as the obligations and guarantees of law, contract and regulation.

The above data will be processed only by specifically authorised and trained personnel from both organisations and may be communicated to all beneficiaries of TiCCA4DANU (ref. Grant Agreement No. 101214311) if this is necessary to fulfill our obligations as "Beneficiary" of the European Project TiCCA4DANU.

5) Processing methods

The data will be processed with the tools and methods deemed appropriate to protect security and confidentiality. Data treatment will be carried out either manually or through the use of electronic or automated tools, for which specific physical and computerised protection measures are adopted.

6) Duration of Processing

Data will be retained only for as long as necessary. As a general rule, the data will be processed for the duration of the project (8 years total: 3 years active development plus 5 years online maintenance). After this period, the data will be securely deleted, unless further retention is required by law.

However, users have the right to:

Disable cookies at any time through your browser settings in accordance with the provisions of our Cookie Policy;
Unsubscribe from email newsletters at any time using the unsubscribe link provided in each email;
Request deletion of your personal data by contacting hosting@provider.pt

Upon exercising these rights, the respective data processing will cease immediately, except where retention is required by law.

7) Nature of processing

• This website uses cookies of a technical nature, in order to speed up navigation and the web analysis service provided by Google Inc, Google Analytics.

• The information generated by the cookies about your use of the website will be transmitted to and stored by Google. This information includes but is not limited to:

Pages visited and time spent on each page
Browser type and version
Operating system
Screen resolution
Referral source (how you arrived at our website)
Geographic location (country/region level)
User interactions with website elements

• This integration of Google Analytics makes the IP address of the user anonymous before any data processing occurs.

• All data collected is non-personally identifiable and publicly available in nature. We do not collect or store sensitive personal information through these analytics tools.

• The information is only used to trace and examine the use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet use, however anonymity is maintained.

• Furthermore, you can disable Google Analytics while browsing using the add-ons available for Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Opera and Safari.

8) Territoriality

The personal data collected and processed through registration and access to the site are resident on servers located within the European Union.

9) Your Rights under the GDPR

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data. You may also have the right to data portability. If you have given consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before withdrawal.
