From 24 to 27 March 2026, the TiCCA4DANU project will be represented at Urban Future 2026 in Ljubljana, one of Europe’s leading conferences dedicated to sustainable urban development and climate-resilient cities. Bringing together city leaders, innovators, researchers and practitioners from across Europe and beyond, the event provides a dynamic platform to exchange knowledge and accelerate the transition towards more liveable, climate-neutral and inclusive urban environments.
Urban Future is recognised as one of the most influential events for shaping sustainable cities, attracting more than 2,000 participants, over 200 speakers and representatives from 100+ city delegations. The programme includes interactive sessions, workshops and field trips that foster collaboration and practical learning across disciplines such as mobility, circular economy, urban planning and climate adaptation.
At this year’s edition, TiCCA4DANU partners, including ICLEI Europe – Local Governments for Sustainability and the Regional Development Agency Podravje-Maribor (Slovenia), will contribute to several thematic sessions. In particular, ICLEI Europe will host the session “Make It a Business Case – How to prove resilience’ value with evidence and metrics”, which explores how cities and regions can transform resilience from a strategic ambition into an investable and institutionally embedded practice. The session brings together perspectives from an emerging city, a capital city with multi-level governance complexity, a regional development agency and a systems innovation expert to examine how governance structures, political accountability and financial logic shape the implementation of climate resilience.
Through these contributions, TiCCA4DANU aims to share practical insights from pilot regions, engage with a broad community of urban changemakers and explore opportunities for scaling up solutions and partnerships.
