Cookie policy

This Cookie Policy is an integral part of the Privacy Policy made available by Web Artisans, Unipessoal Lda to users of the TiCCA4DANU project website (the "Website").

Use of Cookies

Cookies and similar technologies are information that sites and apps send or read on your devices on the first visit, to then be re-transmitted to the same sites or apps on the next visit.

Our cookies are used to
─ memorise the preferences entered;
─ improve the functioning of the Website;
─ analyse the use of the services and content provided by the Website to optimise the browsing experience and the services offered.

In line with applicable legislation, consent for the installation and use of cookies is not always required. In particular, this consent is not required for "technical cookies", i.e. those used for the sole purpose of carrying a communication across an electronic communications network, or those strictly necessary to provide a service expressly requested by the user. In other words, your consent is not required for cookies which are indispensable for the operation of the Website. The processing of these cookies is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interests), as they are essential for the operation of the website.

However, we use non-essential cookies such aus "analytics" cookies and "profiling" cookies only with your prior consent. These require your prior explicit consent according to Article 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent) and, where applicable, comply with the requirements of the ePrivacy Directive and national laws. When you first visit our Website, a cookie consent banner will appear allowing you to accept or reject the use of the non-essential cookies. You can withdraw your consent at any time going to the cookies’ settings.

"Analytics" cookies allow you to improve the management of settings, allowing interaction with external networks and platforms, and provide statistical analysis on the use of the Website.

"Profiling" cookies, on the other hand, help to define a user profile in order to offer you personalised services, in line with the preferences expressed during navigation. All these tracking tools use data that are not immediately referable to you by their very nature. Nonetheless, these data could lead to your identification through processing and association with other data held by third parties. Profiling can be based, for example, on the sections of the Website that you consult or on the information that third parties have collected about you, such as your interests, age, gender, location and other similar information that is obtained from your browsing activities. Unique identifiers ("IDs"), such as those stored by cookies, are used to distinguish your devices and actions from those of other users.

How long do cookies last?

There are different types of cookies which, depending on their characteristics and functions, could persist on your device for different periods of time: the so-called session cookies, which are automatically deleted when you close the browser; and so-called persistent cookies, which remain on your device up to a pre-set time or until you delete them manually.

Website's cookies:

Technical cookies: • CONSENT – 2 years

Analytics cookies (Google Analytics): • _ga – 2 years • ga* – 2 years • _gid – 24 hours

How can I modify cookies' settings?

You can set your browser to authorise, block or delete (fully or in part) cookies, going to the settings, for example:

To disable Google Analytics specifically, you can use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

Note: Disabling technically necessary cookies may limit the functionality of the website.
