@EU Mission Adaptation / MIP4Adapt
The EU Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change has launched a new call inviting climate adaptation experts from across Europe to join its Roster of Experts. The initiative, coordinated through MIP4Adapt, aims to strengthen knowledge exchange, collaboration and practical support across the Mission Adaptation community.
The Roster of Experts will bring together specialists from research, policy and practice to support regional and local authorities, Mission projects and other stakeholders working to advance climate resilience across Europe. By connecting adaptation needs with relevant expertise, the roster will help make knowledge more accessible and support the implementation of practical climate adaptation solutions.
Experts from a wide range of fields are encouraged to take the survey and express their interest, including those working on climate science, ecosystems and nature-based solutions, climate resilience financing, health and human well-being, governance, stakeholder engagement and other areas linked to adaptation. The call is open to professionals from public authorities, academia, research organisations, consultancies, civil society organisations and the private sector.
By completing the survey, experts can share their areas of expertise and indicate how they may contribute to the Mission Adaptation community. Selected experts will have the opportunity to increase their visibility, contribute to events and activities, support discussions on emerging adaptation challenges, and build connections with regions, cities, Mission projects and other adaptation stakeholders.
Once launched, the roster will enable members of the Mission Community to identify expertise relevant to their adaptation needs. Organisations seeking support will be able to submit a short request, after which the MIP4Adapt team will facilitate initial connections with relevant experts.
Applications submitted by 31 July 2026 will be reviewed as part of the first assessment round, with the initial launch of the roster planned for September 2026. Applications will remain open after this date as the roster continues to expand.
For projects such as TiCCA4DANU, which work to strengthen climate adaptation capacities across the Danube Macro-Region, the Roster of Experts represents an important opportunity to support exchange between science, policy and practice. By making expertise more visible and easier to access, the initiative can contribute to more coordinated, evidence-based and locally relevant climate adaptation action across Europe.
Climate adaptation professionals are encouraged to take the survey and register their interest in joining the EU Mission Adaptation Roster of Experts.
